What We Had

😍 Bratwurst and Sauerkraut

What We Thought

I ordered the Bratwurst and Sauerkraut, opting for a starter as I wasn’t feeling for anything too heavy. To my surprise, the size of the dish was both big and satisfyingly filling, challenging the notion of it being just an appetizer.

The sauerkraut was tangy and fermented to perfection, exactly how traditional sauerkraut should be. Although I’ve tasted better Bratwurst elsewhere, for a starter portion, it was certainly good. It was accompanied by a sharp Dijon mustard that added the perfect zing.

However, a word of caution for those whose taste buds shy away from sour or fermented flavours—this dish might not suit your palate.

🥰 Gluehwein

What We Thought

Absolutely in love 🥰 with the Gluehwein. This delightful concoction, synonymous with winter, is the epitome of seasonal indulgence.

With its aromatic spices, robust flavours, and soul-warming qualities, Gluehwein embodies everything I adore about the holiday season. It’s more than just a drink—it’s a cherished tradition, a sip of nostalgia, and a reminder of the joys of gathering with loved ones during the coldest months of the year.

🥰 Hunter Schnitzel

What We Thought

The schnitzel I ordered was absolutely perfect—I would certainly have it again without a doubt.  Draped atop the tender meat was a mushroom sauce so creamy and full of flavour, yet masterfully balanced so as not to overpower the delicately fried schnitzel.

It was clear that the schnitzel was freshly made; each bite melted in my mouth with the breading maintaining a delightful crispy texture throughout the meal. Complementing the dish, the simple steamed veggies were cooked to the ideal softness, providing a wholesome and great addition to the plate. Truly a heartwarming meal that left me smiling with satisfaction. 🥰

😌 Apple Strudel

What We Thought

The Apple Strudel was surprisingly chewy and resistant to being broken apart with just a dessert spoon.

It lacked a distinctive flavour profile, leaving much to be desired in terms of texture and taste. However, the filling within the strudel was a delightful contrast – warm, sweet, and complemented beautifully with the addition of fresh cream.

The decadent mixture was further enhanced by a drizzle of rich dark chocolate, creating a harmonious blend of flavours that truly delighted the senses.
