Dear Ventures
Today was one of those days where everything felt just right. Peter and I found ourselves at Red Robin in Kelowna, surrounded by great food, cozy vibes, and each other’s company. It reminded me of something I’ve come to treasure in our relationship: the joy of sharing small, meaningful moments.
Food has a way of bringing people together, but it’s not just about the flavors—it’s about the connection. Like the way Peter couldn’t stop talking about his Ultimate Caesar, or how we both laughed as I tried to get the perfect bite of my Tsunami Shrimp. Moments like these remind me that relationships are built in the in-between spaces—not just during big milestones, but in the ordinary joys of a meal shared, a drink sipped, or a conversation sparked by something as simple as candied bacon on a burger.
Food for Thought:
Take time for each other, even if it’s just grabbing a burger or trying a new cocktail. Use these moments to talk, laugh, and reconnect. Leave your phones aside for a while, and be present with your person. Life has a funny way of filling up with busyness, but it’s in the pauses—like sharing fries or clinking glasses—that love grows strongest.
So here’s a little challenge for couples out there: plan a date night soon, no matter how simple. Try a new dish, share a dessert, or toast to the love that’s uniquely yours. You don’t need an occasion—just each other. 💕
Until next time,
Joy & Peter
